Secretive Cancers can show many moods in their close relationships. Though they have deep feelings, these might be expressed as crankiness when things aren't going well and sheer lunacy and indulgence when they are. There is a great depth of emotion among the Crabs and they are likely to hang on to what they have in partnerships and long-term relationships.

Sometimes cantankerous in expression, they are also full of sensitivity and understanding. So much so that they tend to hide their real feelings a good deal of the time. At best they can be silently understanding of partner's troubles. At worst, they can out off and runaway to hide under a rock until the stormy weather passes.

Cancers can be very protective, cherishing their youngsters and partners, but they'll not often ask openly for what they most need. When they feel safe, and there's plenty of tenderness around, these people will come out of their shells into a relationship which offers both romance and security.

But, Cancer, you might need to learn that it doesn't help to scuttle away when you're hurt. The best way to deal with pain is to look it in the eye openly and refuse to harbour grudges.
